On the Road with the art walk project, the culture show and New Bedford!

I am absolutely delighted to finally be able to share the newest addition to the Art Walk Project family, On The Road with The Art Walk Project!

For the first installment we went to New Bedford. The New Bedford Art Walk is something I’ve been working on this for a while and I so amazed by the city and the art created which tapped into themes related to its abolitionist past and maritime history, and pieces celebrating the dynamic community, or art that embraces innovation and the city’s vision for its own future. It was a really beautiful experience and one I wanted to share.

I was also very excited to be back on The Culture Shown on Monday, June 30th. This time Jared and I had a great time talking about public art in New Bedford. We discussed 5 different pieces of amazing art present in New Bedford’s Historic Downtown and Waterfront areas. Each piece speaks about different aspects of the community and adds to the public art landscape.

All of the art we discussed on on the New Bedford Art Walk I have include more details about each piece of art, as in artist and location, on my instagram so if you are planning on seeking them out that will be there to help you.

If you missed the episode I recommend checking it out. You can find it by clicking through the link below!

As always, many thanks and happy art walking!

- Julia.
